New special exhibition "Teeth"
The Paleontological Museum in Munich shows from 26 July 2010 to 30 June 2011 its new special exhibition "Teeth". Largely unknown aspects of the more than 500 million years long history of development of teeth are presented. Amongst other things, teeth and jaws of vertebrates such as sharks, dinosaurs and mammals, but also the tooth-like organs of invertebrates are displayed. The items come from the holdings of the Bavarian State Collection for Palaeontology and Geology in Munich and were selected in cooperation with the Chair of Palaeontology and Geobiology at the LMU and the GeoBio-CenterLMU.
